First sailing test with 4 foils

Holidays, wind and sun. It was a perfect day for the first sailing tests with my four foils. In the morning, the wind was very irregular. In bursts, the boat began to fly at 13 knts. This is a regatta speed !!!

Once flying, the boat won 2-3 knts speed. I must act quickly to compensate for the acceleration. The boat is stable longitudinally but I must learn new habits to compensate for variations of angle of list.

When I get to the end of the burst, the windward hull touch water which made me lose a lot of speed. Jellyfish are the cause of most hard landings!

In the afternoon, the wind was still irregular but stronger than in the morning. This time I could fly without waiting for the burst. This is when the burst arrives that the difference between my boat in Archimedean and my boat in flight is greatest. Acceleration is impressive!

The first sailing test is successful. The boat is more stable in longitudinal as I hoped. I must now train to try to reduce the variations of angle of list.

first flying A-cat?

 A-cat Race VS Oracle

The A-cat rules "relatively ...!" open allows him to keep a technological edge over other catamarans.

We should soon be able to fly like the AC72 and why not become antichamber of the America's Cup?

I can't still superimpose my A-cat with ETNZ, it is really too stable!

Winter sport

Amazing weekend in the Gulf of Morbhian. Not really hot to rig but once on the water, downwind avoid getting cold ...

Even after a swim because of breaking my trapeze.

The boat behavior in downwind is great. I sail just above the water with some small jump. The boat pitching around the foil. From time to time the ship heaves fully like the pictures below.

The good news is that when the boat falls I lose little speed.

However I have difficulties with the ventilation. I hope to don't have to put fences, which would be difficult to integrate into the A-class rules.
