Since the new America's Cup, sailing move into a new dimension. Indeed, with the new foiling cat in the biggest sailing event, we have seen an increase of the number of foiling cat like: Flying Phantom, A-cat, S9, Nacra F20, GC32 .... Moreover with an impressive media coverage sometime beyond sailing media.

     It's into this developmental period that the A-cat Race project is born. One of the first A-cat which started to fly in the world, I improve my foils since 2009.

     For a year, progression is stopped. Despite 3 new foils, lot of modification of settings, vidéos analysing, I always have ventilation.

     Now, I am in engineering school, I am be able to introduce numerical simulation to avoid empirical developpement. I established 3 teams from 3 engineering school.

• Team hydrodynamic: 4 students from ENSTA and 3 from Central Nantes
• Team structures computation: 4 students from ISMANS
• Team embedded systems: 2 students from ENSTA

Each team have to work together to use results from other teams.

    All this projects are included in our pedagogique cursus. It's the topic of the last engineering project for ISMANS, ENSTA and Central Nantes. Each team have to work 6 months on the project and will have a mark.
